Abstract:
This study was aimed to collect stroke cases which were published on domestic and foreign medical journals in recent ten years in order to dig out medication principle of stroke with modern scientific methods. Microsoft Office Excel 2003 was used in the establishment of modern stroke medical records database . Fre-quency analysis was applied to find the commonly used medicinals and medicine category . Cluster analysis was applied to find the closely related herbal pairs and the cluster prescription in order to summarize the medica-tion principles in stroke treatment. A total of 292 prescriptions, which contained 249 kinds of medicinals, were collected in this research . The total frequency of medicine is 3 692 times . The medicinals used more than five times were 118 kinds . The total frequency was 93 . 3%. In the most commonly used drugs , 17 kinds of medic-inals were used. The clustering analysis was given to 50 medicinals which were used more than 20 times. The results showed five cluster groups and 16 herbal pairs . It was concluded that reducing liver to expel wind , clearing heat and nourish yin , purging fu-organs to eliminate heat , drying dampness and resolving phlegm , supplementing qi and promoting blood circulation, are still principles of stroke treatment by modern traditional Chinese medicine doctors .
