Effect of internal fixation of anatomical locking plate for geriatric femoral intertrochanteric fracture

Abstract: Objective To explore the curative effect and security of the anatomical type locking plate in the treatment of senile intertrochanteric fractures.Methods 29 elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures were treated with the anatomical proximal femoral locking plate (proximal femoral locking plate 2).The operation time,blood loss,healing time,complications were observed.Results The mean operation time was (54.3 ± 25.1) min.Average blood loss was (178.8 ± 106.5) ml.All patients were osseous healing,healing time was 10 ～ 15 weeks.No complications occurred.Hip functional recovery was 93.1％.Conclusion Anatomical type locking plate in the treatment of senile intertrochanteric fracture has definite curative effect,high safety,it is worthy of clinical promotion.
