Abstract:
In 2000 – 2002 year period, in the Central Institute of Ophtalmology, 54 children aged from 0 –14 years with monocular or binocular congenital cataract, underwent a tunnel operation without suture. Results showed that the sclero-corneal tunnel surgery without suture was efficient for treating congenital cataract. A straight incision through ½ of the sclera thickness was advisable. Cutting edge of the scleral should be help parallelly to the scleral surface
