Abstract:
Peripheral blood DNA is a kind of extracellular free DNA that existing in plasma or serum. Many researchers have already found that circulating DNA level of cancer patients is significantly higher than that of healthy individuals. The alteration in peripheral blood DNA level and gene expression are closely associated with the occurrence, development and prognosis of cancer. Therefore, it is valuable to detect peripheral blood DNA expression for early diagnosis, therapeutic monitoring and prognosis. This article reviews recent advanced progress in research on peripheral blood DNA detection for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
