Abstract:
Objective To compare obsteric complications and neonatal outcomes between PCOS women and healthy women. Methods Seventy-six pregnant women with PCOS and 80 healthy pregnant women were enrolled from Feb.2004 to Feb.2011.The rate of spontaneous abortion, premature delivery, twins, cesarean section,GDM,PDH and neonatal complications were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of spontaneous abortion in the PCOS group was significantly higher than the control group ( P < 0.05 ).In addition, the incidence of GDM,PDH,cesarean section and twins in PCOS group were higher than the control group among those without spontaneous abortion experience. The incidence of neonatal outcomes (gestational age,1body weight, deformity, macrosomia, neonatal asphyxia and perinatal death)was not different between the two groups. Conclusion Pregnant women with PCOS experience a higher incidence of obstetric complications, which deserves more attention.
