The relationship between serum vitamin D level and obesity

Abstract:
Serum 25-(OH)D3concentration was determined in subjects with different types of obesity. The serum 25-(OH)D3levels in overweight or obese and central obese subjects were lower than that in non-obese subjects.(P＜0.01). In a multiple linear regression analysis serum 25-(OH)D3was independently and negatively correlated with body mass index and waist circumference.
