Influence of self-management education on quality of life of patients with deep vein thrombosis

Abstract: Objective To explore the influence of self-management education on quality of life of patients with deep vein thrombosis. Methods 60 cases of deep vein thrombosis patients were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group with 30 cases in each group, two groups basically received the same medication treatment, the control group held conventional health education, The experimental group implemented self-management education.Life quality was compared before education and 3 months after education was compared between the two groups. Results Before self-management education, the scores of quality of life of the two groups showed no difference; after three months of selfmanagement education, the score of body's function, psychological function, social function and total score of quality of life were obviouly different.However, there were no significant differences in material life. Conclusions Self-management education can improve the quality of life of patients with lower extremity deep vein thrombosis.
