Changes and Clinical Significance of serum IL-6 IL-8 and adiponectin in patients with acute cerebral infarction

Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical significance of changes of serum IL-6,IL-8 and adiponectin in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods Serum IL-6,IL-8 and adiponectin levels were measured by ELISA in 98 patients with ACI and 80 healthy control.Results The ACI group serum IU6 and IL-8 levels were higher than the healthy control group(all P＜0.01),while the level of adiponectin was converse;The levels of serum IL13,IL-18 increased gradually with the increase of the severity and the volume of ACI,while the level of adiponectin was decreased;the serum level of adiponectin was negative correlated with the level of IL-6、IL-8 in patients with ACI (r=0.733,0.715,all P＜0.05),the serum level of IL-6 was positive correlated with the level of IL-8(r=0.830,P＜0.01).Conclusion The serum IL-6,IL-8 and adiponectin could reflected situation of patients and extent of neurologic impairment,which had close relationship with the clinical process of ACI and had significance value to evaluate the pathogenetic condition and prognosis.
