Abstract:
Objective To summarize the shortage in quality control, so as to strengthen quality control and assure the safety of blood transfusion in clinic by reviewing the status of external quality assessment in ten years. Methods The feedback results, which were from the national and provincial external quality assessment in 1998-2007, were summarized and analyzed. Results The coincidence rate of the national external quality assessment results was 98.6 %;and the coincidence of the provincial ones was 99. 5%. Conclusion There exists detection omission in individual item. It is necessary to ensure the quality of blood, keep strengthening the theoretical and technologic training of in-service staff especially the newcomers, sublime the quality control consciousness of docimasters, establish the rule and methods suitable for individual lab, and to choose the reagents of high quality. Only by establishing consummate quality management and standardizing internal quality control work, can safe blood be offered.
