Abstract:
Objective To investigate the serum level of interleukin-10(IL-10)and interleukin-18(IL-18)and its clinical significance in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods The serum level of IL-10and IL-18 of 71 SLE patients(the active group 51 patients and stable group 20 patients)and 30 normal controls were measured by ELISA.Results The serum IL-10 and IL-18 level of the active SLE patients[(49.4±12.2)、(423.7+40.8)ng/L]were significantly higher than that of the stable SLE patients[(20.3±8.7);(241.6 ±29.1)ng/L]and control[(13.2±4.8);(150.3±21.6)ng/L](all P<0.01).Conclusion IL-10 and IL-18 may play an important role in the pathogenesis of SLE and may be of useful clinical value in judsing SLE disease activity and its treatment.
