- Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effects of trabeculectomy and implantation of amnion on closed-angle glaucoma. Methods 48 cases(55 eyes) were treated with trabeculectomy. Implant the anmion in scleral valva intraoperative, the sight,intraocular, procurvation and filtering bubble postoperative between 6 to 18 months were observed. Results The preoperative intraocular was (32. 43±5.76) mm Hg and the postoperative intraocular was ( 16. 63±4. 07) mm Hg. there were significant differences between the two intraoculars. The rate of functional filtering bubble formation was 89% with no rejection and no serious complication. Conclusion Trabeculectomy and implantation of amnion could reduce the formation of filtering bubble cicatrices. It also could improve the operations success rate.
