Clinical observation on treatment of 105 cases of cerebral apoplexy with head acupuncture and body acu-puncture

Abstract: Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of treatment of cerebral apoplexy with head acupunc-ture and body acupuncture. Methods 203 cases with cerebral apoplexy were randomly divided into head acupuncture with body acupuncture group(105 cases) and body acupuncture control group(98 cases). Symptom and sign were gra-ded and comprehensive therapeutic effects were assessed. Results There were significant differences of the cure rates and the observed indices between the head acupuncture with body acupuncture group and body acupuncture control group. Conclusion The head acupuncture with body acupuncture can obviously improve the cerebral ischemia and anoxia, and increase limb motor function and ability of daily living in the patients of deep cerebral infarction.
