Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of whole course rehabilitation nursing intervention on stroke patients with hemiplegia, so as to provide evidence for the future nursing intervention for these pa-tients. Methods 92 stroke patients with hemiplegia were randomly assigned into the experimental group and the control group with 46 patients in each group. All patients in both groups received routine neurologic medical therapy and the routine care. The patients in the experimental group also received whole course re-habilitation nursing intervention including health assessment, rehabilitation consultation, health education before and after discharge and also received follow-up. Data were collected when the patients were in hos-pital within the first week and the following 3 months after discharge including the level of TC, TC, Hey, the ability of daily living, and the physical/psychological health evaluation. Results Compared with the con-trel group, the level of blood TC, TC, Hey decreased in the experimental group. In the experimental group, patients" scores of the physical health and mental health after the intervention were higher than those before the intervention. In the control group, the score in physical health domain increased compared with that be-fore intervention, but the score in psychological health domain remained unchanged. Conclusions The whole course rehabilitation nursing intervention designed by the investigator in the study can effectively de-crease the blood level of TC, TG, Hey of stroke patients, improve the ability of daily living and the quality of llfe of these patients.
