Abstract: Signal transdcuers and activators of transcription3 (Stat3) is activated by a wide range of cytokines and growth factors following binding to special DNA domain and affects the expression of a variety of genes in modulating the process of cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. As a point of convergence for many oncogenic tyrosine kinase signaling pathways,it can be activited by sevral accesses. Stat3 is not only in-volved in the function of both apoptosis suppression,proliferation promotion,but also participates the process of angiogenesis,invasion and immune evasion. For repression of this way maybe a new target for break of cancer in-vasion and metastasis,blockers of Stat3 has become the focus of many researches.
