Abstract: Heat shock protein 90(Hsp90)is one of the most abundant molecular chaperones whose association is essential to maintain the stability and function of uumerous client proteins,and is the unique target protein for cancer therapy.Over the past years,most attention has been given to the study of the intracelhilar Hsp90.However,a pool of Hsp90 has been described to be present on the cell surface and even to be secreted extracellularly,which plays an important role in modulating cancer cell invasion in vitro and metastasis in vivo.
