Abstract:
Objective To study the distribution characteristics and drug resistance of pathogens in elderly patients with nosocomial lower respiratory tract infection in ICU. Methods 67 cases of the distribution characteristics and drug resistance of pathogens were analyzed retrospectively in elderly patients with nosocomial lower respiratory tract infection in ICU. Results A total of 67 pathogens were identified liq specimens from the lower respiratory tract secretion. The rate of gram-negative bacteria,gram-positive bacteria and fungi were 56.1% ,22.3% and 21.6% respectively. The most common pathogens of gram-negative bacteria were Pseudomonas aeruginosa( 34. 6% ), that was followed by Klebsiella pneumoniae( 19.2% ). The most common pathogens of gram-positive bacteria were Staphylococcns aureus(58.1% ). The most common pathogens of fungi were Candida albicans(76.7% ). They were resistant to multiple antibiotics, the pathogens of gram-positive were sensitive to Vanco. Conclusion The most common pathogens in elderly patients with nosocomial lower respiratory tract infection in ICU are gram-positive bacteria. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae,Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans are important pathogen of targeted therapies.
