Application of comprehensive and designable experiments in experiment courses of Traditional Chinese Nursing

Abstract: Objective To study on application and effects of comprehensive and designable experiments in experiment courses of Traditional Chinese Nursing. Methods We selected 209 students from grade 2006 as the experimental group, 228 students from grade 2005 as the control group. The experimental group carried out the comprehensive and designable experiments, the control group used traditional teaching methods. The scores of the operation examination and the theoretical examination of the two groups at the end of the term were compared, and evaluation of students to effectiveness of experimental teaching was collected. Results The scores of the operation examination and the theoretical examination of the experimental group were significantly better than the control group, 88.61% of the students were in favor of the comprehensive and designable experiments, and recognized that they could improve their comprehensive ability. Conclusions Comprehensive and designable experiments will help to enhance the comprehensive ability of students such as self-learning ability, practical ability to use nursing techniques of TCM, communication and cooperation ability.
