Abstract:
CD133 is a stem cell surface antigen that has been recently identified as a potential cancer stem cell marker. CD133 is expressed in many solid tumors and has been associated with tumor resistance to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. As a transmembrane glycoprotein, CD133 received much attention as a molecular marker in targeted therapy of tumor stem cells and will bring new hope to cancer therapy.
