Abstract: Multiple myeloma (MM) is a largely incurable B-cell hematologic malignancy. Although some patients treated with traditional therapies, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy,can enter a remission,the disease remains incurable. One of the biggest improvements in the treatment of MM is the use of high-dose chemotherapy followed by stem cell transplantation, which have resulted in an improved remission rate, diseasefree survival and overall survival.
