Abstract: Partial liver resection and liver transplantation are potentially curative treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). For patients with compensated (Child-Pugh class A) cirrhosis, liver resection used to be the mainstay of treatment. For early HCC with poor liver function (Child Pugh classes B and C), liver transplantation is universally
