- Abstract: The amyloid deposition observed in secondary amyloidosis frequently involves the thyroid gland, but rarely is a goiter responsible for this. We report here the pathologic findings of a case of amyloid goiter with involvement of a parathyroid gland in an euthyroid patient. The patient presented with an enlarged thyroid, symptoms of upper airway obstruction and dysphagia.
