Abstract:
It is not necessary to dwell on the fact that the acupuncture effect is based on autonomic nerve reactions as this has previously been explained by various researchers, however as I successfully was able to repeatedly record the manner of appearance of the acupuncture effect using a simple autonomic nerve reaction examination method, I'd like to report on this one aspect.
Experimental Method: Six adult males and 4 females all of whom showed tendencies of autonomic nerve imbalance according to the CMI-Abe Test were used as subjects. As positive results were also obtained in both the Kestner Skin Capillary Reaction Test and the Dermography Reaction Test, outaneous needle therapy was administered on the upper back and lower back lateral to the spine, on the central abdominal area, on the anterior aspect of the forearm and the anterior aspect of the lower legs. Stationary insertion for a period of 10 minutes was administered as GB-20, BL-38, BL-23 and SP-6. Therapy was administered once every 3 days for a month (10 treatments).
Results: When the above tests were repeated in 8 of 10 cases there were no longer indications of autonomic nerve imbalance tendencies Moreover, in the Kestner and. Dermography Tests reactions were normal.
In summary from these results it can be stated that once more it has been proven this acupuncture therapy is effective for the treatment of what must be called the modern disease of autonomic nerve imbalance syndrome.
