Abstract:
The WFAS International TCM Convention (Global Tour on Acupuncture Styles -Malaysia) was held from April 30 to May 2, 2012 at the Pullman Hotel in Kuching, Malaysia. The theme of the convention was "Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Osteopathy, Cancer, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Chinese Medical Education."
Topics in the field of acupuncture and moxibustion included a summary of Chinese acupuncture research that was conducted during its Eleventh Five-Year Plan (2006-2010), consideration of registering "TCM Acupuncture"in UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, and so on.
The current state of clinical and research activities, legislation, and other topics regarding acupuncture in Malaysia were also introduced. There were more than 400 participants at the convention.
