Abstract:
In this paper, for the first time, we have presented a new alternative scheme for synthesis of S Reichstein substance from the pregnyne, which has been synthesized from sterols via 17-ketosteroids. Structure of the product and intermediates has been confirmed by Mp, [a]D, IR, MS and HMR spectra.
