Abstract:
This review introduce of new technique and method for geoherbs analysis. After reviewing the chemical principle, optical principle and the chemometer of near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) , it analyzed the characteristic of NIRS and the difficulties of geoherbs analysis, and pointed out that NIRS had great advantage in geoherbs analysis for its full information. Referring the outcomes of NIRS in food industry, agriculture products, wines, forages, etc, it emphasized the utilization of NIRS in geoherbs, which may mainly focus on identification, and genetic characters research, as well as habitat evaluation of geoherbs. At finally, it discussed some key points which may determine NIRS utilization in geoherbs, such as reliability, applicability, and popularity.
