Abstract:
From 1990-2000, 1.282 cases with IPT, who diagnosed and treated, consist of 499 (38.9%) children and 783 (61.6%) adults at Blood Transfusion and Hematology Centre HCM city. Almost the patient were treated with corticoid (2mg/kg/body weight/day) protocol. Minority another patient were treated by gamma globulin. Results of corticoid therapy regimens on children were complete response: 77.8% partial response: 9%, dependent of corticoid: 2.5% and, no response: 10.7%, while the effect of this therapy in adults was low. Rate of persistent ITP after 6 months (chronic ITP) in children: 23.5%, in adults: 60%.
