Abstract:
In Vietnam, from Jun 1992 to Jan 1995 carried out renal transplantation for 12 patients. All of them were grafted by the kidney from related living donors and without nephrectomy. Data of this study suggest some following remarks: (1) About the donor: The size of remaining kidney increases with the rate 8.8% in the first month, 3% in the second month after nephrectomy, but creatinin clearance decreased at 42 ml/min in the first month. (2) About the recipient: After grafting, the patients recovered from anemia after 1 month, creatinin clearance were 54ml/min (range 20-100ml/min); by arterial hypertension was regulated slowly. After grafting, the following symptoms suggest bad prognostic: Hypertension increases continuously. Proteinuria is heavy and prolonged. The sixth patients of this study are totally compatible with donor group ABH, HLA but due to high presensibility, the rejection of graft happened (4 episodes). The deaths of this study were cerebral artery accidents.
