Abstract:
OBJECTIVETo probe an effective method to treat postpartum vaginal relaxation.
METHODSThrough an incision between the vaginal skin and mucosa, bilateral levator ani was isolated to form two levator ani flaps. The two flaps were overlapped and sutured with proper tension. Then the vaginal skin and mucosa were sutured to form a prominence at the vaginal orifice.
RESULTS21 cases underwent this operation. Of them sixteen were followed up for 3 months to 2 years. The patients reported that their sexual lives were improved.
CONCLUSIONSThe operation improved the sexual lives of the patients. The results of this method were effective and satisfactory.
