Abstract:
We investigated the modified Bevan’s approach for operations of adrenal tumors. A prospective analysis was performed on 26 patients with adrenal tumors seen at Cho Ray hospital between 1/1/1993 to 31/12/1998. The intraoperative and postoperative complication rates were 7.7% and 19.2% respectively; no mortality. The advantage of the modified Bevan’s incision is good for exposure of adrenal, for control of the inferior vena cava and the aorta, and satisfactory for the management of the intraoperative complications.
