Abstract:
The influence of the drying method on the diosgenin yield in rhizomes of some species of Dioscorea L. have been studied. The result showed that the suitable methods were to sun or to dry these rhizomes at a temperature of 50 - 60oC in dryer with fan. These methods are able to be applied in pharmaceutical industry
