Abstract:
In this study, the hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) and 2,3,bisphosphoglycerate (2,3,DPG) levels were measured in the erythrocytes collected from 50 patients with NIDDM (age 58.84.35) and from 31 healthy subjects (age 50.84.3) (controls). The hemoglobin HbA1c rate of the patients is higher than that of healthy subjects (10.693.34% vs. 5.010.46%). The 2,3,DPG concentration of the patients is lower significantly than that of controls (2.060.34mmol/RBC vs. 2.910.19mmol/RBC). The linear correlation was found between serum glucose level and HbA1c rate with r= 0.67, and between HbA1c and 2,3,DPG levels with r = -0.55
