Abstract:
In recent years, the field of sleep medicine for children has been significantly developing. Research has shown that polysomnography plays an important role in the diagnosis and management of children with sleep-related breathing disorders. However, evidence-based parameters have not yet been set. This article presents the current indications of polysomnography in children. Accurate diagnosis and management of children with sleep-related breathing disorders are only possible when their polysomnographic parameters and clinical findings such as medical history and physical examination are combined.
