- Abstract: After simple clcsure of duodenal ulcer perforation under general anesthesia on a 34 year old male patient, atelectasis developed, Oo the 2nd postoperative day, dyspnea suddenly developed and atelectasis was confirmed by chest X-ray. Tracheostom,y was performed, and I.P.P.B. and suction were continued for a few days. The patient was discharged without further event.
