Abstract:
Gastric adenocarcinoma in childhood is an extremely rare disease with poor prognosis. We experienced a case in which a 14 year old female patient who was admitted with complaints of abdominal pain, indigestion and obstipation. Her physical examination revealed positive Blumer's rectal shelf, positive ascitic fluid cytology and typical radiologic and endoscopic findings suggesting gatric adenocarcinoma. She showed symptomatic improvement with combination chemotherapy. Thus we report a case of gastric adenocarcinoma with a brief review of literatures.
