- Abstract: Struma ovarii is a highly specilized form of mature cystic teratoma of the ovary. It is extremely rare and accounts for only 2.7% of all ovarian teratomas. When thyroid tissue constitutes more than 50% of the tumor, it is usually called a struma ovarii. We reproted a case of struma ovarii and review the literature concerning this tumor briefly.
