Hemangioblastoma- report of 10 cases in Viet Duc hospital.

Abstract:
Average age of patients was 33.7+/- 11.6 years old, but 5 of them were younger than 30 years. All the patients came late with typical posterior fossa signs. CT scan showed vividly enhancing tumor nodule in the wall of a cyst in the vermis or cerebellar hemisphere. Neither papilar haemagioblastoma nor other tumors were revealed in the series of our patients. The outcome was very favourable. Only one patient died by post operative meningitis. On the other hand, much attention will be paid in searching an unusual relation between haemangioblastoma with VON HIPPEL-LINDAU disease in a further study.
