Abstract:
Application of magnetic force in retention of prostheses has been tried more than half century, but it was not clinically satisfactory. With the development of magnetic materials and manufacturing technique, magnetic attachment has been applied in various types of oral and maxillofacial prostheses successfully in recent 20 years.
