- Abstract: Acinetobacter baumannii is a source of opportunistic infection in hospital and can cause central nervous system infection mainly by neurosurgical operation. Community acquired infection by Acinetobacter baumannii is very rare. A 58-year-old man was presented with fever, decreased consciousness and seizure. Acinetobacter baumannii was identified in the CSF culture, and colistin was administered intravenously. Patient's clinical symptoms improved after treatment. We report a case of successful treatment of Acinetobacter baumannii meningitis with colistin.
