Abstract:
During the last 14 months, we have repaired 45 patients with either previous chordectomy or fresh hypospadias. Thirty five patients were posterior hypospadias according to the new meatus location after release of chordee. The primary objective of placing the meatus on the glans tip was achieved in most of the cases. Fifteen patients (33%) developed a fistula. Two of them had a stricture, too; one meatal and the other at the original site. The incidence of fistula formation might be increased a little with granuloplasty but we think that even in the patients with previous chordectomy every effort should be made to place the meatus on the tip of glans.
