- Abstract: Traumatic hip dislocation is relatively rare in children and it should be reduced rapidly as that in adults. Evaluation of injuries of the cartilage, labrum, and soft tissue around the hip joint, and continuous follow-up for detection of development of complications is necessary. We report on an unusual case of a three-year-old child with traumatic hip dislocation treated with closed reduction and bed rest without immobilization.
