Abstract:
Pharmacia single-piece 700B posterior chamber intraocular ienses (PCL) were implanted on 50 eyes of 48 patients were followed up for three months and the clinical results obtained are as follows. - Postoperative corrected visual acuity recovered to 20/40 or better in 90% of implanted eyes. - Postoperative complications were fibrinous membrane(3 eyes), fibrillar filaments(3 eyes), iris pigments on PCL surface with iritis(6 eyes), sterile hypophyon(1 eyes), cystoid macular edema(1 eye), iris tucking(1 eye), and after cataract(1 eye). - This 700B model looks a less flexibility of haptic loop which has rectangular shape in cross-section and a more curved end portion. We found the characteritic designs should be some modification.
