Abstract:
Cerebellopontine angle meningioma originates usually from cerebellar tentorium and petrous bone, sometimes expands to the internal auditory canal. In this case, the meningioma extended to the auditory canal and pressed the VIII nerve causing hearing loss suddenly as an acoustic neuroma. Contrast CT-scanning revealed a neuroma with a normal auditory canal. The removed tumor was identified microscopically as a meningioma
