Abstract:
Posterior lenticonus is rather uncommon abnormality in which a prominent spheroidal elevation extends into vitrous from smooth posterior surface of the lens. The author has recently experienced a case of posterior lenticonus in a 25- year old Korean man. The sharply circumscribed lenticonus manifested a startling brilliance. The base of the lesion was ill outlined and an arc-like opacity of posterior lens capsule surrounded the lesion. At the base of protrusion were flecks of brownish pigment.
