Foreign body in esophagus in Da Nang hospital during 1995-1998.

Abstract:
A retrospective study on 240 patients with the foreign body in the esophagus in Da Nang hospital has shown that the incidence mainly occurred in the countryside, the main foreign bodies were bones of animals. Most of patients were admitted early to hospital, therefore the rate of the esophageal abscess was low (1.3%). The major treatment was esophagoscopy by hard tube for removal of the foreign bodies.
