Abstract: Human platelet lysate(HPL) is a novel biomaterial rich in growth factors that induce cell proliferation and bioactive substances associated with repair. It has been widely studied for promoting tissue repair, cell proliferation, and inflammation control. In this review, the development of HPL in many fields was mainly introduced, and its application scope has far exceeded the clinical application of traditional blood products. This paper introduces the application of HPL in regenerative medicine, cell therapy and stem cell culture, and analyzes the development potential and advantages of HPL. At the same time, the preparation standards of HPL at home and abroad have not yet entered the standardized process. Through the elaboration of key elements such as raw material sources, control standards and preparation technology, this paper hopes to provide reference for the standardization process of the preparation of HPL in the later stage.
