Abstract:
Abstract:Myopia is the most common type of refractive error. In recent years, the onset of myopia has shown a trend towards younger ages, making vision screening and myopia prevention among children and adolescents particularly significant. The study reviews the effectiveness and limitations of various vision screening protocols, including ciliary muscle paralysis optometry, combined uncorrected visual acuity and non cycloplegic auto refraction, axial length to corneal radius of curvature, as well as Suresight and Spot vision screening devices, to offer a scientific foundation for the future enhancement of vision health screening and improvement among Chinese children and adolescents.
