- Abstract: Bile acids （BAs） are the main components of bile and serve as complex metabolic regulators and important signaling molecules， and they play a crucial role in fat metabolism. Hyperbileacidemia （HBA） is relatively common in clinical practice， but sometimes it is difficult to clarify its etiology. This article reviews the common diseases that cause HBA and the changes in the composition of the bile acid pool， so as to provide clear insights for the diagnosis of HBA.
