- Abstract: Goal: To do analysis on some issues about treatment for constipation using non-drug method Hypothesis: There is a probability that people who pilgrimage have high muscle development comparing to people who do normal exercise and movement. Methods: Total 60 people have been involved from June 2015 until September 2015 and total 50 people have been involved after people aged more than 20 years old, not pregnant, having constipation symptom, with 1 or 2nd class of overweight, without any disorder of supporting organs are divided into 2 groups and 25 were participated who do pilgrimage or yoga exercise. Also, 10 people were involved in control group. According to the questionnaire, they haven’t got light constipation and do permanent exercises and movement. All participants were measured by anthropometer and defined their electrolyte volume in the blood of vein. Result For electrolyte volume in blood of the participants in the research before their pilgrimage, Ca was 1,58 mmol/L, Mg was 1,24 mmol/L, Na was 113,52 mmol/L, Cl was 73,8 mmol/L in average, Ca was 1,24 mmol/L, Mg was 0,91 mmol/L, Na was 102,18 mmol/L, Cl was 61,3 mmol/L after three days, Ca was 1,37 mmol/L, Mg was 1,17 mmol/L, Na was 109,8 mmol/L, Cl was 68,3 mmol/L at the last day of the research. For electrolyte volume in blood of the participants in the research before their yoga exercise, Ca was 1,63 mmol/L, Mg was 1,20 mmol/L, Na was 121,8 mmol/L, Cl was 68,3 mmol/L in average, Ca was 1,49 mmol/L, Mg was 0,98 mmol/L, Na was 113,1 mmol/L, Cl was 57,8 mmol/L after three days and Ca was 1,53 mmol/L, Mg was 1,0 mmol/L, Na was 115,8 mmol/L, Cl was 60,3 mmol/L at the last day of the research. Conclusion: It has been determined that less movement causes influencing factor for constipation. It shows that treatment is effective because body weight index and electrolyte balance is becoming stable after the stretch and pilgrimage.
