- Abstract: Osteoporosis causes more than 8.9 million fractures annually worldwide. Osteoporosis is a silent disease until it is complicated by fractures that can occur following minimal trauma. These fractures are common and place an enormous medical and personal burden on aging individuals and a major economic toll on the nation. Osteoporosis is a progressive systemic skeletal disease characterized by reduced bone mass/density and microarchitectural deterioration of bone tissue‖ (National Institute for clinical Excellence, 2004). Goals: This study was to determine and compare the results of Calcite Oral Solution effect on femoral bonescalcification and mineralizationin Osteoporosis Model Rats Induced with Retinoic Acid (RA).
