Abstract: This study was carried out to investigate the pharmacological effects of aqueous extracts from the traditional Mongolian medicinal herb, the root of Caraganajubata pall poir, on liverfibrosisinduced carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) in rats. Liverfibrosis was assessed by histological observations and serum enzyme activities. Treatment with aqueous extract of Caraganajubata significantly reduced the levels of liver ASAT and ALAT. Aqueous extract of Caraganajubata root inhibits fibrosis and reduced serum enzyme in rat liverinduced by CCl4.
